Captain Drew Walsh was hired as a Patrolman in July of 1998 upon graduating from the Gloucester County Police Academy. In 2011, Captain Walsh was transferred to the Project 18 Community Policing Unit in the Administration Division. He served in the Community Policing Unit until his promotion to Sergeant in May of 2013. Captain Walsh served as a Sergeant in the Patrol Division until his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant in September of 2017. Captain Walsh served as a Lieutenant in the Patrol Division until his promotion to the rank of Captain.
Captain Walsh was twice elected State Delegate for East Brunswick Policemen’s Benevolent Association Local #145 and elected twice as the State Delegate for East Brunswick Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #98. He currently serves as the liaison between the East Brunswick Policemen’s Benevolent Association Superior Officer Association Local #145A and the New Jersey State PBA. Captain Walsh has also served as a Field Training Officer. Captain Walsh has received several Letters of Commendation.
