The Township of East Brunswick is accepting applications for the regular full time position of Systems Administrator in the Information Technology Department. The Systems Administrator manages servers, client desktops and applications; maintains system images and builds management tools; optimizes servers and desktop systems; diagnoses and resolves application and hardware problems.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Abilities: Must have a working knowledge of Virtualization, Windows Server, Linux, Programming and different applications.  Should have the ability to analyze software programs and program adjustments as well as analyzing staff usage of technology in order to select the most effective technologies for improving productivity and customer service.  Must also have a working knowledge of the operation and uses of servers, workstations and peripheral equipment. 

Education and Work Experience: The ideal candidate must have any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science or a minimum of two years’ experience in administering an environment containing 50+ servers and 300+ desktops.   

Hours: 40 Hours per week, schedule could be as following; Monday – Friday or Sunday – Thursday.  Schedule may change as needed.
