EBPD Alert - Important Message from Chief LoSacco
The East Brunswick Police Department has been closely monitoring the ongoing war currently occurring in Israel and any possible impact it may have locally. We understand this conflict has caused anxiety and fear. However, we want to emphasize our commitment to the safety of our community.
We are also aware of concerns raised by recent social media posts and reports of a call for an uprising tomorrow. We have been engaged and working alongside our federal, state, county, and local partners to gather and share real-time intelligence.
Currently, there are no known credible threats to New Jersey or our community. However, the East Brunswick Police Department has increased security in and around sensitive locations throughout the Township of East Brunswick out of an abundance of caution.
The East Brunswick Police Department remains committed to the protection and safety of our community. As this situation evolves, we will send pertinent updates as needed.
We urge the community to remain vigilant, and if you "see something, say something." Please report any suspicious activity by calling 732-390-6901 (or 9-1-1 if there is an emergency).
Chief Frank LoSacco
