East Brunswick Township Plans to Waive Uniform Construction Code Permit Fees for the Use of Tents by Businesses.
East Brunswick, NJ –December 1, 2020 – The East Brunswick Township Council unanimously passed a resolution last evening to waive the Uniform Construction Code (UCC) permit fees for establishments that erect structures outside of their main building, such as tents, to accommodate customers.
The Township seeks to prevent local businesses from having to bear another financial burden during the pandemic. “The continuing pandemic has caused so many small East Brunswick businesses to suffer. The restaurant and bar industry have sustained some of the worst losses. The Township wants to do everything it can to help sustain this vital part of our economy and our community. The waiving of the UCC fees is just a start as we call upon all our residents to lend a hand at this most difficult time” said East Brunswick Township Mayor Brad Cohen.
