Each year the East Brunswick Police Department recognizes and honors its sworn and non-sworn personnel as a way to show its gratitude for the dedication and hard work that they perform on a daily basis. Although, day in and day out, the members of the Police Department show their true professionalism and dedication, certain incidents or investigations rise to the level of an award. Each year personnel is nominated by their supervisors, and then a review board makes the determination which incidents/investigations will receive a department award.
Police Department Recognition
The East Brunswick Police Department has been selected as the "Best" Police Department in the Home News Tribune and Courier News Best of the Best in Middlesex County Readers’ Choice competition, six years in a row (2016-2021). Winners are chosen by readers of the Home News Tribune and Courier News through online and printed ballots over several weeks.
The women and men of the East Brunswick Police Department are honored to receive this award and are grateful for our community’s continued support and appreciation.
