The East Brunswick Police Department participates in a variety of College/University Student Internship Programs. College age students are eligible to apply generally in their Junior or Senior years of study. These students must be currently enrolled in a program related to Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice and are required to submit their Internship Program acceptance for their prospective college/university upon submission of their application. Students simply interested in law enforcement experience will not be accepted without enrollment into a sanctioned program.
The program consists of a 120 hours minimum (adjusted to college/university requirements) encompassing:
- Administration
- Communications
- Community Policing
- Judicial Process
- Patrol Operations
- Traffic Safety
- Training
Applications
All applications must be submitted in person to the East Brunswick Police Department Internship Coordinator in the Community Policing Unit.
