The East Brunswick Police Department promotes the use of Autism Wallet Cards through the The Disability Independence Group.
The purpose of the card is to help individuals identify themselves in the event of an encounter with police or other first responders and assist the officers in understanding some of the challenges the person may display. The cards also include emergency contact information.
