The Township of East Brunswick utilizes the Woodbridge Animal Shelter, where stray animals are taken for evaluation and held for owners to reclaim their lost pets. Impounded animals must be held for seven days at a facility licensed as a pound prior to adoption or euthanasia.
East Brunswick residents shall first confirm that the Woodbridge Animal Shelter has their pet and then respond to the Township Revenue Office between 8 am and 5 pm (Monday-Friday) to pay the required reclamation fee. On weekends or hours beyond the East Brunswick Revenue Office's operation, the reclamation fee of $175 may be paid at the Woodbridge Animal Shelter by check or money order made payable to the Township of East Brunswick. Please be advised that animals will not be released without proof of payment and proof of ownership.
