 Three charged for vandalism at Jewish facilities:

On February 4, 2010, East Brunswick Police Detective Bureau announced the arrest of two adult males and a juvenile male for spray painting graffiti on a several buildings at the Y Country Swim Club on Dutch Road and on an exterior building wall at the East Brunswick Jewish Center located on Ryders Lane. None of the graffiti was deemed anti-Semitic. Detective Sean Goggins investigated the criminal mischief at both locations and was able to develop suspects in the incidents by researching the names used in the graffiti known as “tags”. Detective Goggins researched the “tags” which were used in the graffiti at both locations and found that it corresponded with postings and pictures discovered on a public portion of a Myspace page. Detective Goggins was assisted by Detective Kevin Zebro of the East Brunswick Police Detective Bureau’s High Tech Crimes Unit, which investigates internet crimes, and were able to identify the suspects through their Myspace accounts. The two adult males were charged with two counts of criminal mischief each and released on their own recognizance after being processed at police headquarters. The juvenile male was also charged with two counts of Criminal Mischief and released to a guardian. The graffiti at the Y Country Swim Club discovered on January 12, 2010, damage was estimated at $2200.00 The graffiti discovered at the East Brunswick Jewish Center on January 9. 2010, damage was estimated at $360.00

Arrested were 19 year old Timothy J. Connor of East Brunswick, 18 year old Jonathan Baez of East Brunswick and a 16 year old male, also from East Brunswick.
