A New Brunswick Woman was arrested for being in possession of a stolen 2006, white Hyundai on Friday, 10/27/06, at 2:35 PM. Patrolman Frank LoSacco was patrolling in the area of South Woodland Avenue when he conducted a random computer check on a Virginia license plate and discovered that the car was reported stolen. The vehicle was followed and stopped on Suydam Street. The driver, 53 year old Terry B. Omeni told the officer that she had borrowed the car from a friend in Virginia. However, Patrolman LoSacco was able to confirm that Ms. Omeni had taken the vehicle without permission and she was placed under arrest. The vehicle was reported stolen in September.
Ms. Omeni was charged with possession of stolen property and issued a motor vehicle summons for driving while her license was suspended. Bail was set at $25000 and she was transported to the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center.
