The Administrative Division maintains responsibility for the coordination and daily oversight of the Department of Public Safety's budget.  The Administrative Division also oversees the operation of the following functions:

• Police Records Bureau
• Departmental computer operations
• Fleet management
• Police communication services and civilian dispatchers
• Purchasing, payroll, and quasi duty administration
• Alarm ordinance enforcement
• Operations of the East Brunswick Police Training Facility
• Operations of the Departmental Training Officer and coordination of all Departmental Training
• Operations of the East Brunswick Police Community Policing Unit
• Recruitment and hiring of all sworn and civilian employees for the Department of Public Safety
• Coordination of Pre-Employment background investigations of potential employees

The Administrative Division is also responsible for the coordination of the college internship program whereby students enrolled as Criminal Justice majors at approved colleges or universities are selected to spend work with the East Brunswick Police Department.  The interns are assigned to varying functions within the agency and will have a better understanding of the many diverse aspects of law enforcement.

Captain Krause commands the Administrative Division and Office of Professional Standards.  In addition, he oversees the Public Information function for the Department and commands the Internal Affairs Unit.  Captain Krause also serves as the commander of the Department of Public Safety's Crisis Negotiations Team. Captain Krause is a graduate of Thomas Edison College with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology.  He is presently pursuing a Masters Degree in Public Administration from City University, Washington State.  He is a graduate of the F.B.I.'s National Academy, 237th Session.
