The Administrative Division maintains responsibility for the coordination and daily oversight of the Department of Public Safety's budget.  The Administrative Division also oversees the operation of the following functions:

• Police Records Bureau
• Departmental computer operations
• Fleet management
• Police communication services and civilian dispatchers
• Purchasing, payroll, and quasi duty administration
• Alarm ordinance enforcement
• Operations of the East Brunswick Police Training Facility
• Operations of the Departmental Training Officer and coordination of all Departmental Training
• Operations of the East Brunswick Police Community Policing Unit
• Recruitment and hiring of all sworn and civilian employees for the Department of Public Safety
• Coordination of Pre-Employment background investigations of potential employees

The Administrative Division is also responsible for the coordination of the Rutgers University Internship Program whereby students enrolled as Criminal Justice majors in their senior year of study are chosen to spend 120 hours with the East Brunswick Police Department.  The interns are assigned to every division within the department where they are able to observe first hand how police officers do their jobs.  At the conclusion of the internship, it is expected that the students will have a better understanding of the many diverse aspects of law enforcement.

Captain Robert Janzekovich presently serves as the Administrative Division Commander.  Captain Janzekovich is a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Government and Public Administration, and a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law where he received a Juris Doctorate Degree.  Captain Janzekovich has also completed the West Point Command and Leadership Program and is a graduate of the FBI’s National Academy.
